Second Flight. [video/action for goldenrod city.]

[So it wasn't very hard for Hiccup to notice that he was in a Completely Different Place. Being relatively new to Johto, this was a pretty jarring revelation for him--but he stopped questioning it long enough to realize that he was in the same place as Toothless, as well as the Night Fury's new friends.

Once he gets more used to this idea, he fiddles around with the pokegear until he gets it to a video feed. Even though he's outside, and as underdressed as he is, Hiccup doesn't really seem to be that bothered by the cold or the snow he's trudging through.]

Thanks to anyone who offered to pick me up for Ziva, but it's not needed, now. Not really sure how, but... I guess I'm in Goldenrod City.

[He looks away from the gear for a while, expression thoughtful.]

People have said this place is the most like back home for them. But it's really...strange. Is there anyone else who's not used to places like this?

[With that question, Hiccup ends the feed. For anyone in Goldenrod, he'll be wandering around, looking at the tall buildings, and getting lost!]

Well, yeah, but... It's more than that.

He's the only Night Fury I've ever seen--and until we met, no one had ever gotten close to one before. We'd only ever heard them, on Berk.

Night Fury? [A pause.] What's the difference with him and other dragons then?

[identity profile] newberktown.livejournal.com 2011-12-28 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
He's a lot faster, from what I've seen. It would even makes this whistling noise when his wings cut through the air. His teeth are also retractable, which was why I named him Toothless. And as far as I know, he's the only dragon that's flown with a human. We have this saying that dragons will always go for the kill, but... Toothless didn't. We showed each other mercy, I guess.

Wow, that's... fast. Whistling, and his teeth are retractable?

Is the situation between humans and dragons really bad, or is it because they're supposed to be wild beasts?

[identity profile] newberktown.livejournal.com 2012-01-01 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Normally, yes. They don't retract here, of course.

[Hiccup wrinkles his nose slightly as a grimace curls.]

It's...pretty bad. We're constantly at war with each other because they take our livestock and burn our houses. [He sighs.] They have their reasons.

If they did--- well, uh... yeah, no. I don't think I wanna know.

... Wow, it's that bad? [Not that he's ever experienced that.] I guess it does make sense though, especially if it involves food and all.
