Second Flight. [video/action for goldenrod city.]
[So it wasn't very hard for Hiccup to notice that he was in a Completely Different Place. Being relatively new to Johto, this was a pretty jarring revelation for him--but he stopped questioning it long enough to realize that he was in the same place as Toothless, as well as the Night Fury's new friends.
Once he gets more used to this idea, he fiddles around with the pokegear until he gets it to a video feed. Even though he's outside, and as underdressed as he is, Hiccup doesn't really seem to be that bothered by the cold or the snow he's trudging through.]
Thanks to anyone who offered to pick me up for Ziva, but it's not needed, now. Not really sure how, but... I guess I'm in Goldenrod City.
[He looks away from the gear for a while, expression thoughtful.]
People have said this place is the most like back home for them. But it's really...strange. Is there anyone else who's not used to places like this?
[With that question, Hiccup ends the feed. For anyone in Goldenrod, he'll be wandering around, looking at the tall buildings, and getting lost!]

Also wow, that word actually sounded like a real word. Hiccup is mildly impressed, and is now feeling more inclined towards giving Toothless a meal of fish. The magic of words.]
Alright, alright...
[He opens the door to the restaurant, glad he remembered to bring money with while he explored.]

[Getting used to a human mouth had been (and still frequently IS) very strange, but he has to admit that the avenues of communication it opens are pretty nice.]
[Just wait till he learns how to put together actual sentences. For now, though...]
Fsh fsh fsh fsh fsh fsh...!
[He'll just be happily chanting that word under his breath as they get up to the counter. Oh boy oh boy oh boy. c:]

Eventually, the two are at a booth with plates of food. Hiccup's meal is something easily pronounceable and looks quite edible as well--much to his relief. Meat was a staple in the viking diet, but Hiccup was admittedly more squeamish than most. Especially when it came to raw fish, mutton, et cetera.
He glances up from his plate, absently pushing the food around a bit, and over to Toothless. Apparently he's waiting for the other to dig in first.]

The silverware slips and clatters to his plate, which is apparently what it takes to distract Hiccup from the trainwreck that is Toothless eating. He turns his attention back to his own food, and is surprised to find that...it really is good. While it's meat, which the viking is far too used to, it isn't as bland as he's expecting. A few more bites, and the sashimi bar has won him over as well.]
Hey, it's not bad. No wonder you were practically skipping to get here.

[The dragon-turned-boy looks up from his plate with a big grin and a smudge of ginger on his nose when Hiccup speaks, bobbling his head in agreement.]
Fish.
[But then he shifts in his seat a little, lifting a bulky arm to point at the wad of green stuff (http://www.pollsb.com/photos/o/19980-wasabi.jpg) on the edge of his plate. Then he looks significantly at Hiccup and shakes his head.]

Yes, yes... Fish.
[At Toothless's pointing, the boy studies the mystery substance. It doesn't look too bad, to him--and it certainly doesn't look like eel, which had put dragons into a frenzy of disgust, back home. Curious, and certain it is simply the other being picky, Hiccup dips an index in to scoop up a small amount. For a very brief moment, he smiles over to Toothless to show 'HEY LOOK, BUD. THIS FOOD IS OKAY.' Of course, once the sensation of the wasabi hits him, he decides that even a small amount is far too much.]
Oh gods! Oh jeez, Odin take me...
[There is the quick change of expressions, first to shock and then to a deep grimace, before he claps his hand over his mouth as if that will reverse the effects of the burning substance on his tongue. Brb, going to shovel food into mouth...]

[It's the kind of stuff that Toothless himself probably could have enjoyed if he'd still been a dragon-- but human mouths aren't really built for breathing fire. Or for handling ... this. He'd learned this the hard way, so he stands from his chair abruptly with a worried chuff, and then shoves his glass of water in Hiccup's direction meaningfully.]
[HE TOLD YOU, MAN. HE WARNED YOU.]
