Congrats on the badge! [Can't comment on doing the badges out of order. Atsuro did it, too.]

Cianwood's leader use fighting types, so flying and psychic types are your best bet. He have a Poliwrath, so I suggest electric or grass types against it as well.

Great! Laila's a Noctowl, so she should have no problem with that. Maybe I should start training my Tropius or Dratini more for that Poliwrath, though.

Yeah, you should. It'd be no problem after enough training and your levels match up closely.
