[Hey, Pokemon World. Did you miss vikings being derpy? Well, never fear! Here's Hiccup, grinning like a fool and looking way too excited as he backs up from where he's set his 'gear.]

Alright. So, everyone? Feel free to start calling me Bastian. [His smile somehow widens even more as he reaches down and lifts his newest team member, draping her over his shoulders and giving her a little scritch behind the fins.] I just got myself my very own luckdratini.

[The Dratini--an unusual purple-tinted pink--studies the 'gear with a twinkle in her eye. Well, really there's a twinkle everywhere else, too. Yep, like so many pokemon showing up on the network, this baby's a shiny.]

I'm going out to show Falkor the city, okay?

[Someone's been reading The Neverending Story lately...]

Of course she's pink, she's a luckdratini.

What's the difference between that and a regular dratini?

[Falkor slithers her way down Hiccup's shoulder, nudging the screen with her nose. Hello, girl!]

Well, they're lucky. [Which is good, because injury-prone boy needed a break.] With a luckdratini on your side, you can accomplish anything!

[Okay...] What book?

[She waves at the Dratini as it dominates the screen, and taps her own gear screen softly in hello.]

I have a pokemon just like you. Except he's blue. And bigger.

[She grins.]

Well, if anyone could use luck, it's you Hiccup.

It's called The Neverending Story. It's upstairs with my things, if you're at the house.

[Falkor tilts her head in interest, humming. She hasn't met Midgardsormr yet, so Dragonairs are kind of a mystery to her. But meeting this bigger, bluer pokemon sounds like fun!

Hiccup rolls his eyes, though there's that hint of expression that says, 'Yeah, I know.']

I'm not that unlucky. Hey, I'm alive--I'm actually kind of a miracle, if you think about it.

...I'll go take a look later, alright? [Reading wasn't Astrid's favorite hobby but it could be fun sometimes. And then she grins.] A miracle and a mystery. We've always been pretty astounded by it.

[As if she ever passes up a chance to tease him. And then she's looking away.]

Hey Slither, come over here. [A beat.] Now, Slither! There's someone I want you to meet. Laziest dragon...

[She mutters this last bit to herself as she turns back to the screen, and a moment later Slither's larger Dragonair face is poking curiously at the camera.]

[Astounded and sometimes disappointed, he thinks to himself, but then he remembers! He is no longer Hiccup. He is Bastian, the savior of Fastastica!

Falkor brightens considerably (which seems to release another bout of sparkles.) Hello, fellow dragon! She pushes herself even closer to the screen, practically smooshing her face against it.]

Falkor, hey--! I get that you're excited, but you'll make me drop it...

[And on her end Slither almost seems genuinely interested, watching the little dratini with faint amusement, his tail undulating behind him.]

Maybe we should wait till you get home, huh?

[Astrid says as she pushes Slither aside so she can see the camera again.]

[As Slither is pushed away, Falkor backs up again, curling herself back around Hiccup's neck like an oversized scarf. But she liked the big blue dragon...]

Not a lot of playing they can do over the network... I'll be back later, though.

If Slither plays at all I'll be impressed.

I'll probably be out back.

Hey, Falkor's lucky, remember? She can make the impossible happen.

[He is going to be so damn pleased if she can get Slither to play. His little miracle-working dragon. ♥]

Soooo... In other words, you'll be training again?

Maybe.

[She shrugs.]

Yeah. Why?

No reason! [No reason at all.] Just wondering. Seems to be what you do around here a lot, is all.

Well...besides work and train, there's nothing to do.

I could argue that there's more to do in this city than on the entire island of Berk, but I'm not going to.

[Except he just did, tee hee.]

Yeah but half of it involves stuff I don't understand or money I can't afford to waste.

And back home we had our dragons.

We have dragons here, too...

[But yeah, he knows it's not the same. At all.]
