Alright. So, everyone? Feel free to start calling me Bastian. [His smile somehow widens even more as he reaches down and lifts his newest team member, draping her over his shoulders and giving her a little scritch behind the fins.] I just got myself my very own luckdratini.

[The Dratini--an unusual purple-tinted pink--studies the 'gear with a twinkle in her eye. Well, really there's a twinkle everywhere else, too. Yep, like so many pokemon showing up on the network, this baby's a shiny.]

I'm going out to show Falkor the city, okay?

It's a good one. I remember I used to read that one a lot as a kid. _{[Well, a younger kid. She'd never been overtly bullied like Bastian (well, at least not during THIS life, anyway) but they'd moved around a lot and that could get lonely and bored sometimes. The story had been easy to relate to.]} Carmen's got good taste.

I'd imagine that story would go a little differently than the standard, for someone with a luckdragon already on his shoulders.

[THAT SURE IS A DRAGON, and Falkor seems even more excited than Hiccup about it. Of course, Hiccup's kind of baffled by something else, right now. So while Falkor shyly thanks Snapdragon, adding in 'If only I could be as big and strong as you!' the boy is kind of just...staring.]

Yeah! [Have a grin, now that he's stable again.] I have other dragons, too, but Falkor's my newest. She's the only luckdragon I've got, too.

[Don't mind Temeraire, he is always excited to see things that look familiar. Especially things that look familiar and are also dragons.]

She's a dragon! [Definitely serpent-y, though.] Dratini and Dragonair look like this, but a Dragonite is more like the dragons I'm used to back home.

[The question is a little more difficult to respond to, since he has to keep himself from adamantly proclaiming his little baby's luck.]

So far she seems to be! But Falkor's different than most Dratini--they're usually blue.

Oh, one of the unusually colored ones that everyone received.

[Although since he's still pretty new, Temeraire doesn't have much knowledge of the regular colors. But he's much more interested in that comment about dragons back home. He tilts his head slightly in a gesture that isn't quite human-like, trying to sound casual and collected but clearly extremely curious.]

You have dragons in your home as well, then? Could you please tell me about them?

Still, that's one of the more impressive shinies I've seen so far, and you can't go wrong with the Dratini line.

Falkor's actually my second Dratini! Looks like I lucked out [hurr] on the energy levels this time, too. My Dragonair isn't anything like this, and Astrid's isn't, either.
