Fifteenth Flight. [video/action for Saffron City.]
[Hey, Pokemon World. Did you miss vikings being derpy? Well, never fear! Here's Hiccup, grinning like a fool and looking way too excited as he backs up from where he's set his 'gear.]
Alright. So, everyone? Feel free to start calling me Bastian. [His smile somehow widens even more as he reaches down and lifts his newest team member, draping her over his shoulders and giving her a little scritch behind the fins.] I just got myself my very own luckdratini.
[The Dratini--an unusual purple-tinted pink--studies the 'gear with a twinkle in her eye. Well, really there's a twinkle everywhere else, too. Yep, like so many pokemon showing up on the network, this baby's a shiny.]
I'm going out to show Falkor the city, okay?
[Someone's been reading The Neverending Story lately...]

I'm going out to show Falkor the city, okay?

audio;
[He brings one hand up to give Falkor an affectionate pat. What a good, lucky dragon...]
I could always start calling you 'Moon Child', if you want--I already gave Astrid the name 'Atreyu'--but it doesn't seem quite right. There isn't anyone I've read about that's as exceptional as Carmen Sandiego.
audio;
[Because HEE.]
So tell me. How much luck has Falkor brought you so far?
audio;
Well! So far I haven't slipped on any ice, so that's good. [Falkor the actually lucky luckdratini.] And I found P100 on the ground. So far, things are looking up.
audio;
There's a superstition that says good things come in threes. If you believe that's true, you might just have another bit of luck heading your way soon.
Just don't end up like my old associate, Hannah. She had a habit of letting luck rule her life, instead of the other way around.
audio;
I was due for a bit of luck, anyway. [His arm's pretty much all better by now, but seriously. What was with that bad streak.] Really, there's just one thing I need to be actually lucky about...
[What are dates, mom?]
Oh, hey, if she does turn out to be lucky, you can borrow her for working out that Isabelle situation.
audio;
Oh? Big plans coming up? Because I'll tell you the same thing I always told Hannah — luck has nothing to do with it; it's talent and preparation that make things happen. Whether it's a Haunter or just something you need to be lucky about.
audio;
Even if luck has nothing to do with it, it might make me feel better... [About the Haunter, anyway. He'd rather Astrid swoon over his charming personality or dashing looks, but... Well.] But yeah, there...might be something coming up. I should probably get to that, soon...
audio;
How lucky a guesser would I be, if I suspected it involves Astrid?
audio;
Well, that depends. You seem to think a lot of my plans involve Astrid, so it's a pretty standard answer from you. Not much luck in that kind of situation, now is there? [NO, HE'S NOT AVOIDING THE ISSUE.
...dangit he needs her advice, though.]
But, uh, y-yeah. I'm going to be...taking her out to dinner, soon.
audio;
OMG.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE — okay, yeah, that's quite enough of that, she is a dignified master thief and that is quite enough of that.
Eee.]
That's because I like to rely on talent and preparation, instead. Congratulations, Hiccup, good for you.
audio;
Talent and preparation is what I need, right about now. [Mom, heeeelp.] See, the problem is that I asked her on the tenth, but since neither of us really know how to...go out to dinner, I don't know how to plan it.
[Like, is he supposed to be calling this a date, he wants to, especially since it should be nice, but what if she really just wants it to be a regular congratulations on her victory, and hnnngh maybe-dating is difficult.]
audio;
The first thing you'll want to do is pick a restaurant. Then you'll want to pick a day for your outing. [SEE, SHE'S NOT EVEN CALLING IT A DATE. This is because she loves you.] You go to the restaurant in advance of that day and tell them you want to make a reservation — that way, they'll make sure to have a table waiting for you when you show up on the night of, and you won't have to worry about getting in amidst the possible crowds.
audio;
I didn't know I had to make a reservation... [Never had to for any other restaurant.] And, uh, w-what kind of... What are we supposed to wear?
audio;
[...What to wear, on the other hand, is a good question, kiddo. It occasionally stumps her, herself.]
And what you'll wear depends on how much of a production you care to make this outing.
audio;
audio;
[HEEEEEEEEE. Ahem. eeeeeeeeee.]
I'll come meet you in town and we'll go looking, okay? For a restaurant and something to wear both.
audio;
Great... Thanks, Carmen, really.
