Hiccup's got a new baby in the family, and she's got her vines wrapped around the hotel fan--something that's been running at full blast the past few days, and continues to now despite its passenger. For anyone not familiar with a Carnivine's laughter, her raspy 'roars' probably don't quite indicate the fun she's having. He keeps the camera on the pokemon, happily spinning around and around, as he speaks.]

Anyone know how to get her to stop doing this? Without turning off the fan?

[He needs the fan, guys. Even with a surprise actual igloo at the start of the weekend, Hiccup sounds drained and irritable from the weather.]

She just keeps going up whenever I start it again anyway...

She enjoys misbehaving, though I can't say I've ever specifically seen her dangling from a ceiling fan before. They're unusually fond of manipulating their vines, I think, even as far as Grass-types are concerned.

Also, they levitate. Though I presume you've discovered that for yourself by now.

There isn't that much to hang from, in Blackthorn... Except for inside public buildings, but I think we'd just get into more trouble if I let her do that.

I don't know what kind of thing she likes just yet--Dragonthorn just hatched today. The pokedex calls her a 'Bug Catching' pokemon, but I don't think Stoick would appreciate it if I used him as bait...

Yeah, apparently they really like bugs! Their form is similar to a carnivorous plant from home, so it makes sense...

Do you have anything that you could make her think was a bug?

Plants dislike cold. If you have an ice-type, you could try having them touch the fan to see if they can cool it down enough to dissuade her. You'd have to be careful not to get it cold enough to freeze, though... the ice would make her slip off, but the fan would definitely break.

It would just be my luck that I wreck another room because of ice...

I only have one of my ice-types with me right now, and I'm sure he'd be terrified of both her and the fan. It might take him a while to actually do it, but... Thanks for the advice.
